Cole Robson

I care about solving hard problems cleanly: no ornament, no excess. My current work centers on headless wargaming systems, agentic frameworks, and safety at scale.

What I believe

Even the hardest problems in the world ought to be easily explained, and understood, by a child. Complexity is often theater, structures built to protect ego or territory. Handwaving is extremely dangerous, and in the age of gas-town maximalist optimists, its running rampant. Lastly, we should own the outcome, intention hardly means anything.

How I work

A colleague once compared me to a honeybee. I work long hours, move ideas [pollen] between people and teams, and believe a well-designed structure can carry enormous complexity. Often I think deeply about a problem before building, and whenever possible I try to touch it directly — most often through customer engagement. Then I tinker as soon as I feel I have a good intuition around the space, embracing the fail early mantra.
